Wood Processing

Wood working is a special type of art work that involves a lot of workers, machinery, their efficiency and much more. This needs a lot of hard working. First of all wood is taken from forests from woodcutters. Wood is then purchased by the factory or workshop where wood is processed through multiple steps to get the required design.
Firstly the wood is trimmed finely in straight logs. The wood which is now trimmed log is cutting into straight boards of wood. Machines with saws are used for removing curved edged of boards. The wood is processed through machines to make its surface shinny.
The processed wood is now ready for carving professionally. Carving is done with great attention to give it a proper design which is required. And finally beautiful designs for beds or other things are prepared which are ready for polishing or painting.

Here is worker, Shahbaz, from wood workshop located at samanabad, Lahore, Pakistan. He is explaining from where the wood is taken and how it is utilized.
